About Morecambe War Memorial Hall

Morecambe War Memorial Hall is situated opposite the Parish Church, in Church Street, near to the centre of old Poulton.

Designed by W. Gilbert Scott, of London, and funded by public subscription, it was opened in 1926, by Lord Richard Cavendish, as a memorial to the people of the town who gave their lives in The Great War.

Since its foundation it has been in the care of a Board of Trustees which is charged with ensuring that it is available for social, cultural and educational use for all members of the community. A management committee looks after the day to day operation and upkeep of the building.
